St. George Lodge

St. George Lodge No. 2170 EC is a Freemasons Lodge under the District Grand Lodge of Sri Lanka, of the United Grand Lodge of England. The Lodge was constituted by a warrant dated 4th of August, 1886. The Lodge is also a recipient of the Masonic Hall Stone Jewel. 

With a rich history of over 130 years, the Lodge strives in the new digital age, by embracing new technology and ideologies, yet preserving the core Masonic Principles, teachings.

Our membership includes a diverse rage of Brethren from different social, religious and professional backgrounds. We strive to develop ourselves with the moral and ethical Masonic teachings and contribute towards to the society we live, in the attempt to make it a better place.

We welcome like-minded Individuals with a desire to develop themselves along with a passion for history, universal mysteries and symbolism.

Victoria Masonic Temple Colombo

The Home Of Freemasonry in Sri Lanka

The Victoria Masonic Temple is a historic building in Colombo, Sri Lanka, which serves as the meeting place for the Masonic Lodges in the Colombo area. It was built in 1901 during British rule and is one of the oldest and most prestigious Masonic buildings in the country.

The temple was designed by Edward Skinner, a Freemason and an associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects, and built by the Colombo Commercial Company.


The Victoria Masonic Temple is a significant historical and cultural landmark in Sri Lanka. It is a beautiful and well-preserved building that is still used for its original purpose.
